Pioneer Library System – Norman Central Branch

The interiors team at MSR design brought us in to create an early learning space in the children’s room at Norman Central. A bustling library that services downtown Norman. There was some criteria that was important that it would include lots of PLAY. They asked if we could include a kitchen with table and stools, magnetic block wall and a Duplo wall. We were asked to think of structures that would tie-in the to angular carpet pattern and interior architecture. We developed a few zones: one for the older children and a Rose Rock (special rock found just in Oklahoma) inspired area for babies and the very young.
